Patidars welcome Gujarat Gaurav Yatra, Yogi in Kutch

In what may be seen as a big-shocker to PAAS leader Hardik Patel’s anti BJP campaign, the Patidar community in Kutch today accorded a grand welcome to Gujarat Gaurav Yatra of the ruling party in which its star campaigner UP CM Yogi Adiyanath was also present.

Apart from some other places the Patidar community welcomed the Yatra at Mankuva also. They chanted Vande Matram and Bharat Mata Ki Jay on the occasion.

They also hailed DyCM Nitin Patel who comes from the same community.

Yogi during an interaction with media, however, played down the caste based politics.

On being asked about the caste based agitation, Yogi said that BJP was not based on caste or creed but its pillars were nationalism and development plank.

He also indicated that the majority of Patidar community was nationalist and was with the party.

Yogi addressed several meetings in Kutch today during which he talked about the development of Gujarat and termed the re-construction of Bhuj and other parts of Kutch post 2001 earthquake under the then CM Narendra Modi as an unprecedented example of development. He alleged that the party (Congress) of Rahul Gandhi who himself was in Italy at the time of recent devastating floods in Gujarat, looked no where during the earthquake in Bhuj.

He appealed people to make BJP victorious again and be wary of the various tactics of Congress and Rahul Gandhi.
