November 06, 2017
Ahmedabad: pro-Congress caste leader Hardik Patel who attracts thousands of crowds of Patidar community youths in various public meetings has refused to take police protection given by government. Patel has conveyed police control room and Superintendent of police that he doesn’t need police protection. Hardik alleged that government wanted to keep vigil on him and therefore had planted spies in name of police. He said he had not demanded police protection at all. Hardik said he has to give space to police man in his car and manage to offer him meals. He said he is ready for police protection only if police make arrangement of separate police vehicle and meals. It’s worth noting that state administration is working under election commission at present as model code of conduct is effective. As Hardik is seen as one of key players in elections so far as Patidar community votes are concerned, he has been given security.
