Rahul only expert in posing questions never bothers to reply one: Sitharaman in Gujarat

Ahmedabad:
Defence Minister and fire-brand BJP leader Nirmala Sitharaman today took a dig at Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi saying that he was seemingly only an ‘expert’ in asking questions and never bothers to reply a query.
Addressing a press conference here Sitaraman said,”Rahul ji asks questions after questions in Gujarat but he never reply to a query posed to him. In democracy the opposition along with the party in power were equally duty bound to reply a question asked to them. The opposition must especially answer a question if it was related to the period when it was a ruling party.”
‘BJP president Amit Shah ji and Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani had asked some questions to him long back but he has not replied. It seems that he only reads the script that is given to him and never listens a question. Every time he visits Gujarat he just ask questions and go,’ she said.
She said that people of Gujarat have rejected Congress in four consecutive assembly polls and even after that it could not even keep its flock together and slid to 43 from 57. Its image was not even of a responsible opposition.
In a reference to today’s incident of slipping of Sardar Patel’s statue from the hands of the Congress leader during an event in Porbandar She said that though she did not intend to create a fuss about it yet one should not accept the idols of great-men in light handed manner.
‘This incident reminds me of the treatment to Sardar Patel by Congress which has till date not accepted him with open heart,’ she said.
She said that Congress MLA’s from North Gujarat were in a resort at the time of devastating floods in north Gujarat. Current in-charge of the party in Gujarat had as the then CM of Rajasthan opposed the Sujalam Sufalam project and now with what right he was seeking vote from the people of Gujarat. Congress in fact opposed all the positive steps. The UPA government at center did not allow an important 32 km long road in Patan district by creating environmental issues.
