Ahmedabad:
PAAS leader Hardik Patel and over 50 others have been booked for his ‘Road-show’ in Ahmedabad city on December 11,’ police today said.
Hardik had organized the over 9 hour long road-show from Ghuma circle to Nikol in the city despite denial of permission by the administration during the peak of election campaign.
Interestingly the road shows of PM Narendra Modi and Congress president (then vice president) Rahul Gandhi the next day ie December 12 were cancelled owing to denial of permission by the administration. However Hardik defied the administration and took out the road show.
PI of Bopal police station here, I H Gohil today said that a case against Hardik Patel, Raju N Patel, Suresh Patel and more than 50 others was lodged last night on the instruction of Mamlatdar Daskroi and complaint of Circle Officer (Revenue) R D Makwana under section 188 of IPC and some other sections for taking out the rally/road-show despite the public order of the ADM banning such activities.
Notably, recently two more such cases for holding rallies without permission had been filed against Hardik. One in Rajkot and the other in Mansa of Gandhinagar.
