Rupani asks Gujarat University and Sahitya Academy to prepare language policy for State

Ahmedabad: Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today while speaking at senate hall of Gujarat University asked Gujarat Sahitya Academy and Gujarat University to come up with language policy for the State. Vishnu Pandya who heads Gujarat Sahitya Academy and Himanshu Panya who is Vice Chancellor of Gujarat University both were present on the stage when Rupani made this announcement. Rupani indicated that his government will implement the policy for language prepared by Gujarat University and Gujarat Sahitya Academy. Rupani was reacting to concern expressed in the function regarding diminishing trend of adopting Gujarati language as medium of education in comparison to English as medium.
