Surat District Panchayat to drop Greenhouse subsidy scheme

Surat: District Panchayat of Surat has decided to discontinue the green house subsidy scheme following number of complains regarding cheating with farmers. It is observed that the scheme for granting subsidy to purchase green house has not benefited any farmer, but on the contrary there are number of complains regarding irregularities on part of specific companies.
