‘Untimely’ heat-wave to take a brief brake from tomorrow only to return again from March 30

Ahmedabad:
.
The untimely heat-wave in parts of Guajrat will take a break for two days from tomorrow only to return again from March 30, Senior Meteorologist of Ahmedabad Met Center Ms Manorama Mohanty said today.

‘The heat-wave conditions were being experienced today in parts of Coastal Saurashtra like Porbandar, Junagadh and Kutch districts’ ,she said.

As per the current predictions the heat-wave won’t be there tomorrow and day after but it would be experienced again in parts of Guajrat especially Coastal Saurashtra and Kutch on March 30 and 31, Ms Mohanty said.

She said that the main reason behind the early onset of heat-wave was the lack of moisture in atmosphere and winds coming from North.

Ms Mohanty said that though in cities like Ahmedabad there was no warning for heat-wave yet the sudden rise in temperatures has made things uncomfortable weather-wise.

Notably, the heat-wave was first experienced in parts of Saurashtra and Surat on Sunday after which its severity increased yesterday when Junagadh, Porbandar and Surat saw severe-heatwave conditions.

Temperatures at several places has gone above 40 degree Celsius.
