Gujarat govt has not sent any proposal to Centre for change of name of Ahmedabad as Karnavati: CM

Gandhinagar: The government of Gujarat today admitted that it has not sent any proposal to Centre for changing the name of the city of Ahmedabad as Karnavati.
In reply to a written question asked by Bapunagar (Ahmedabad) assembly seat Congress MLA and former Ahmedabad Mayor Himmatsinh Patel in the assembly the Chief Minister in written reply said the state government had made no written proposal regarding this in last two years, and question doesn’t arise about Centre’s reply therefore.
