Digital Legal Clinic opens at Galpadar jail in Kutch district

Bhuj: Gujarat High Court Justice MR Shah on Thursday insugurated Digital Legal Clinic in Gandhidham Jail in Kutch district.
Justice Shah said, prisoners in jail will be able to get information such as latest status of their case online in jail itself through this system which is part of the National Legal Service Authority. All jails will have such system.
Justice Shah said Gujarat State Legal Authority is making a new software through which complete details of all prisoners across the State will be available at one place online. The details of case, its status, lawyer will be available online. Bail plea will also be filed online. Hearing will take place through video conferencing.
Newly opened legal clinic at Galpadar based district jail in Kutch will have presence of government officer once in a week.
