Woman corporator of Congress in AMC arrested for biting lady PSI during Bharat Bandh of Dalit outfits

A woman corporator of opposition Congress in Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) was today arrested for biting a lady Police Sub Inspector and obstructing her from discharge of her duty.
Ms Rajshri Kesri, Congress corporator from ward number 3 of Chandkheda area was arrested today, PI of Chandkheda Ankur Patel said.
The woman leader in her fourties had bitten lady PSI P S Chaudhary in her hand on April 2 during a road block demonstration near Chandkheda circle in connection with the Bharat Bandh organized by Dalit outfits to oppose the Supreme Court ruling on SC/ST (prevention of atrocities) Act.
A case against her under section 332 ( Voluntarily causing hurt to deter public servant from his duty) , 324 (Voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or any other means),186 (Obstructing public servant in discharge of public functions) and 143, 146, 149 (pertaining to unlawful assembly and rioting) of the IPC was lodged in Chandkheda police station the same day.
PI Patel said that she was arrested today.
