Rajkot:

Two youths were stripped and beaten up by the members of their own community for pasting indecent slogan written papers on the base of Mandhata statue in Gondal town of Rajkot district today.

Police said that Ranjit Girdhar Makwana and Dilip Gordhan Bavaliya had pasted papers with indecent remarks against some policemen on the base of the statue in Bhagwatpara area.

Seeing the poster a large number of people from the community assembled there and nabbed the two youths. They were stripped off cloths to semi-naked position and were also beaten up. They were also made to remove the posters.

Later the duo was handed over to the police. They were admitted to hospital.
