Nitin Patel rubbishes rumors being spread on social media about him; CM finds such trash on social media not worth reacting

Amid the rumours on social media deliberately being spread by opponents about his exclusion from cabinet and leaving the ruling BJP, Dy CM Nitin Patel has clarified that these were ‘falsely made-up reports’ to damage his reputation and trustworthiness.

In his tweet late last night Patel wrote, ‘For the past several days certain people were posting falsely made-up reports in the social media to damage his reputation and trustworthiness. So It is my humble request to all well-wishers, workers and common people to not to believe such rumours. Such posts and issues that are wrong, baseless and rumors to led people’s attention to bogus issues.’

After recent political instability in Karnataka, some elements, some elements had been active in Gujarat to give it a try in Gujarat and create perception of political instability in Gujarat. For past many days pro-Patidar quota agitation segment of manipulators on social media was spreading reports and putting up graphics about exclusion of Patel from ministry quoting ‘sources’. Such reports even claimed that Patel will walk away from the party and try to topple the government with loyal MLAs.

Meanwhile CM Vijay Rupani today during a media interaction in Morbi stayed away from commenting on this issue, obviously for the reason that such rubbish in media/social media must not be entertained further from his level even by denying it.

In December last year when Rupani took oath for the CM post for the second time, Nitin Patel had openly expressed his unhappiness about the allocation of portfolio to him. He was given back Finance portfolio.

Meanwhile Gujarat BJP president Jitu Vaghani has also rejected the social media reports. In his tweets he termed it a handiwork of vested interest groups who were trying to spread lies about Patel who was a senior leader cum Dy CM constantly serving people of Gujarat.
