Two teenagers taking selfie fall in river Tapi in Surat, die

Surat:

Two teen-aged boys fell in to river Tapi here from a bridge and drowned while taking selfie this morning, police said.

The bodies of Mohammed Zaid (14) and Fazal Shaikh (18) were fished out of the river.

When they fell in the river near Causeway bridge in Chowk area of the city, two of their friends also jumped in to the river to save them and started drwoning but they were saved by the divers of fire department.

Zaid and Fazal, both residents of Nanpura, were also taken out of the water but were declared brought dead by doctors in a hospital here.
