June 19, 2018
Gandhinagar:
Welcoming the decision of his party high-command to pull-out from the coalition government in Jammu & Kahsmir, Gujarat BJP President Jeetu Vaghani today said that the party did not want power at the cost of national-interest.
He also hit out at Congress saying that the opposition party should not try to teach patriotism to PM Narendra Modi about Kashmir as everyone knew that the Kashmir problem was there because of former PM Jawahar Lal Nehru.
Vaghani said that PM Modi has tried to control terrorism and Jehadi activities and succeeded in eliminating the menace through army. It was a welcome step but the opposition rather than congratulating him was trying to criticize him and the people of the country were watching it. People are also aware of the situation of Kashmir today and that in the past during former Congress regimes.
‘The whole world knew that Kashmir problem was there because of Nehru but Congress in doing politics only to gain power. BJP has given free hand to army, Para military and Kashmir police to contain terrorists but it seem that Congress was pained at it too. Congress should not try to teach patriotism to Modi ji as this quality was in his veins and blood,’ Vaghani said.
He also claimed that BJP has boosted the morale of the army and Congress should not try to hit at it by irresponsible statements.
