Remove Lalit Kagthara as district party chief: Congress workers to State unit

Morbi: Congress party has trouble at yet another front. Around 200 party cadres and leaders including president of Morbi district panchayat Kishor Chikhaliya have demanded removal of Tankara MLA Lalit Kagthara from the post of district party president.
Party cadres have alleged that Kagthara and another party MLA from Morbi Brijesh Merja are splitting the district unit of party.
‘Congress has 22 of 24 seats in Morbi district panchayat. Though Kishorbhai Chikhaliya had support of 16 members, the local MLAs Merja and Kagthara did injustice to Kishorbhai and managed to issue mandate in the name of someone else. 16 members of district panchayat were served show cause notice. The two MLAs are harming the party, they alleged.
