AMC installs bio matrix face recognition machines to register presence at health offices

Ahmedabad: Municipal Corporation here has started taking presence of employees across ward offices of health department in six zones through 106 bio matrix   face detection machines. Earlier the presence was taken through manual process.

Face detection machine first stores  photos of employees with roll number and later match it every time while taking presence.

Earlier, the AMC had installed simple bio matrix machines for presence without face detection technology attached. Screens of such machines were damaged  eventually thanks to deliberately created scratches. The machines with face detection technology don’t need touch and therefore they are not as vulnerable as earlier simple machines.

Average presence has been registered 74% after installation of new machines according to a note issued by AMC.
