Groundnut godown fire incidents also need in-depth investigation, CID crime to move ahead once FSL reports arrive: Faldu

Gandhinagar:

Agriculture Minister R C Faldu today said that groundnut worth around Rs 42 crore was burnt down in godown fires and these cases would also be investigated in depth following FSL reports.

Addressing a press conference in the wake of the recent incident of finding of soil mixed groundnut sacks in a Godown in Pedhla village of Jetpur in Rajkot district, Faldu today said that BJP government in the state always believed in transparent administration and it never covered up any wrong-doer nor it would do so now.

‘Even if any agency or person affiliated with BJP or Congress is found guilty, it won’t be spared. The cases of fire in groundnut godowns are also a matter of deep investigation. The probes of such fire incidents in Gondal, Jamnagar or Gandhidham are now awaiting FSL reports. CID crime (which was investigating the cases), DG Ashish Bhatia has said that as soon as FSL report reaches him, the probe would move further,’ Faldu said.
