Gandhinagar:
BJP today hit out at Congress and its MLA Lalit Vasoya and party backed PAAS leader Hardik Patel for raking up the issue of pollution of Bhadar river with an eye on Loksabha election.
BJP state vice president I K Jadeja said that Vasoya and other congress knew fully well that the pollution in Bhadar was an issue since the congress regime when most of the Industries that flew effluents in the river were set up.
‘In fact Congress and its leaders are desperate to create issues to misguide people before LS polls. This matter is also one of these. The BJP government in the state has already ordered a probe in to it even though the issue is of the time of earlier Congress regime. Our government with a balance between Industrial development that give jobs to many and environment protection was doing the best it can do but they are trying to politicize the issue to take mileage from it,’ he said.
Party leader Dhansukh Bhanderi alleged that Vasoya and Hardik were doing the ‘Jal-Samadhi’ drama with an intention to draw some media attention somehow.
