Centre approves 6 more Passport Seva Kendra in Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Narendrabhai Modi government has gifted 6 new passport seva kendra(PSK) to Gujarat. With this, Gujarat will have total 25 PSK. 6 new PSKs will come up at Amreli, Gandhinagar, Surendranagar, Paten, Bardoli and Sabarkantha. The decision will greatly benefit those wanting to go abroad in respective areas.
Minister for department of non-resident Gujaratis in the Government of Gujarat, Pradipsinh Jadeja shared these details after attending a meeting held in capital Gandhinagar in presence of union minister of state, foreign affairs, Shri MJ Akbar.
Under the outreach programme of central government, such meetings between union external affairs ministry and state government are held.
MoS External Affairs MJ Akbar said, ‘in 70 years there were 5 centres for passport in Gujarat, while in last four years the number has gone up to 19. With opening of 6 new PSKs, total number will be 25.’
