Vadodara:
The body of a Police Sub Inspector (PSI) was found in a police post in the city this morning.
Prima facie it seems that it is a case of suicide.
PSI S S Jadeja (37), a native of Rajkot, was earlier posted in Sayajiganj police station in the city and was recently transferred to the Crime Branch.
Police said that he was found dead inside the Alkapuri police post behind which he lived in the police quarters. His service revolver was also found close-by and the bullet injury was in the right side of his head.
He had also made an entry in the police dairy. ‘I can’t do this job of PSI. please forgive me,’ Jadeja, otherwise considered a brave police personnel had written.
Police said that in all likelihood it seemed like a case of suicide but detailed investigation was on.
Alkapuri police post falls under Sayajiganj police station but he was not on duty there. It was still not clear as to when he reached there and when he committed the dastardly act if at all it was a case of suicide. The body was recovered when the sweeper reached in the police post at around 9am today, police said.
Jadeja who was transferred to Vadodara from Rajkot after promotion had brought his family here some time ago. He was the only son of his parents.
