Under construction Madresa in Hindu majority area of Surat demolished

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation(SMC) teams demolished an under construction Madresa in residential society of Gabheni area of Udhna zone. SMC teams had called police for security during demolition.
Shiv Shakti society in Gabheni area has majority Hindu population with some Muslim plot owners. Muslims had started construction of Madresa by merging three to four plots.
Protest by local Hindus was conveyed to local MLA and administration following which SMC teams had taken up demolition.
