140 delegates from 60 countries to visit Punsari village in Gujarat to see its unique development and cleanliness model

Himatnagar: 140 delegates from 60 countries would soon visit Punsari village in Sabarkantha district of North Gujarat which has made a special mark with its unique development and cleanliness/sanitation achievements under Panchayat system.
District collector D K Pravina today said that 140 delegates from 60 countries who would participate in the Mahatma Gandhi International Sanitation Convention (MGISC) in New Delhi from September 29 to October 2 would visit Punsari.

The village located at about 80 km from the state capital, Gandhinagar with its internal free of cost bus service, own website, clean and mineral containing drinking water supply through own R O plant, zero tax dues, cctv network and digital library etc has drawn attention of people from across the world.

The collector said that the village has also made a mark with its commitment to cleanliness. The primary school, Anganwadi center and Panchyat office were like samples of cleanliness and development. It was a matter of proud for the district and Gujarat that the foreign delegates would visit the village and also have a look at its Gyankunj project, Pragya class.
