Around a dozen rounded up after attack on police during raid on the gambling den of bootlegger Arif in East Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Police has rounded up at least a dozen people after they attacked it during a raid on the gambling den of notorious bootlegger Arif in Chandola talav area under Isanpur police station in the Eastern part of Ahmedabad.

A police official said that Arif and his supporter attacked on the police which had gone for rain in the area and also tried to torch a two-wheeler of the police and damage another vehicle.

Large number of police has been deployed in the area along with SRP and at least a dozen people have been rounded up who were likely to be formally arrested later.

Police was also trying to nab Arif and few more of his accomplices who had fled after the incident.
