High Court lawyers to go on strike against transfer of Justice Akil Kureshi

Ahmedabad: Gujarat High Court Bar Association today passed a resolution unanimously to go on indefinite strike from tomorrow protesting senior most judge Justice Akil Kureshi to Bombay High Court. Justice Kureshi’s transfer is ordered by Supreme Court Collegium. Protesting lawyers are also planning to file plea in this regard. This development is taking place when present Chief Justice R Subhash Reddy is stepping down today at 4.00 pm to take oath as Supreme Court judge tomorrow.
