ACB nabs Deputy Director of ESIC office taking bribe for issuing certificate to factory owner

Gandhinagar: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed the Deputy Director of Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC) office here taking bribe from a businessman for issuing a certificate regarding closure of his factory.
Assistant Director of ACB D P Chudasama said that Mahadeo S Meena, the deputy director in the ESIC office in Ashram road in Navrangpura area was nabbed red handed taking a bribe of Rs 5000 from his office.
He had sought Rs 10000 from a business man to issue closure certificate of which was closed way back in 2012. After persuasion he had agreed to take Rs 5000/- .
