3 die as car slid in to river Tapi in Surat in Gujarat

Surat: Three people including a woman and a girl child died when a car fell in to river Tapi in Sarthana area of the city today.

Police said that one Rajeshbhai (54), resident of Varachha area was going towards Velanja along with his relative Vimlaben (50) and his niece one and a half year old Chahat.

He lost control of the car near Korat bridge and the car slipped in to the river. Though it did not completely submerged in water. the doors got locked. All the three were taken out from the vehicle in unconscious condition and taken to hospital where they died.
