Despite persisting feeling of cold due to lowering of mean temperature, Met lifts cold-wave warnings in Gujarat

Ahmedabad: The met department today lifted the cold-wave warning in Gujarat issued a day ago despite fall in maximum temperatures and feeling of cold persisting.

A met official at IMD center here said that despite feeling of cold there was technically not cold-wave today or not expected now in the coming days.

‘We had issued cold wave warning for parts of the state for four days but it has been lifted now. Due to wind there will be cold but not the cold-wave. The feeling is because of lowering of maximum temperatures and the mean temperature,’ he said.
