Several places in Gujarat including Ahmedabad continue to feel cold-wave like situation even though it was non-existent technically

Ahmedabad: Lowered maximum temperatures along with lower minimums kept the mean temperature low at several places across Gujarat including Ahmedabad today and created cold-wave like feelings even thought it did not technically exist.

The maximum temperatures remained more than 5 °C below normal at various places including Ahmedabad while the minimum temperatures at at-least 8 places remained in single digits.
Naliya was coldest at 7 °C. Other places with below 10 temperatures were Deesa (7.2 °C ), Ahmedabad (9.1), Rajkot and Kandla Airport (9.2), Gandhinagar and V V Nagar (9.5) and Valsad (9.6 °C).
The Northeasterly winds were bringing cold from north and eastern areas surrounding Gujarat where cold waves were prevailing.
In Ahmedabad the minimum temperature was also around 4 notches below normal.
