Woman jumps in to well with four children. all expect one son die

Junagadh: An around 30 year old woman and 3 of her 4 children whom she had thrown in to a well before jumping in it herself in the outskirts of Jetalvad village under Visavadar taluka of Junagadh district of Gujarat died today, police said.

PSI Visavadar Shasi Malam said that Jeevuben had thrown two of her daughters and as many sons in the well and then jumped herself.

Her children were aged between 2 to 7 years of them only one the eldest son Raju was somehow taken out of the well alive and has been admitted to hospital in critical condition while two daughters Janhvi and Hetvi and another son Karan along with her have died.

The PSI said that the reason behind the incident was not yet known. It was understood that she must have taken this step due to some kind of domestic dispute. The investigation was on. She was also a native of the same village.
