Amid cold-wave and cold-day conditions Naliya records minimum of 5.8°C, Ahmedabad at 8.1°C

Ahmedabad: Nailya in Kutch today remained coldest in Gujarat with minimum temperature at 5.8 °C even as cold wave and cold day conditions prevailed in parts of Gujarat and its largest city Ahmedabad at 8.1 °C was also among the top five coldest places.

The met bulletin has extended its cold wave warning for one more days. It has forecast cold wave in the districts of Valsad, Surat and Vadodara tomorrow.

The met department has also said that the minimum temperatures won’t see any large change in till tomorrow and there would be gradual rise in it from the day after that.

Among the other places apart from Nailya and Ahmedabad which recorded below 10 °C temperatures today were Gandhinagar (6.4), Deesa (6.6), Kandla Airport (7.8), Surendranagar (8.5) , Valsad (9.1), Vadodara (9.4)0 and Kandala Port (9.5).

In Ahmedabad the maximum at 25.0°C was around 5 notches below normal while the minimum at 8.1 °C was 5.1°C below normal.
