Drop in minimum temperatures again from tomorrow likely but no cold-wave expected:IMD Director

Ahmedabad: There will again be drop in minimum temperatures across Gujarat from tomorrow but there was no likelihood of any cold-wave, IMD center Director Jayant Sarkar today said.

He said that due to change in the wind pattern (from current South Easterly, Southerly or South Westerly to North Easterly) there would be a drop in the minimum temperatures.

There was also an upper air cyclonic circulation over Western Rajasthan caused by western disturbances.

He,however, said that as the minimum and maximum temperatures have already gone considerably above the normal figures, a drop of 2 to 3 degrees in minimum temperatures would not cause any big difference.
