Non seasonal rain in Kutch and parts of north Gujarat, cloudy, windy weather at various places including Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: Due to an upper air cyclonic circulation over South West Rajasthan and adjoining North Gujarat and Kutch region, parts of Gujarat saw non-seasonal rain and cloudy weather.

Almost whole of Kutch district including Nakhtrana, Abdasa, Rapara, Bhuj, Shamkhiyali, Ramvada. Lakhpat saw light to medium intensity rain accompanied with strong winds. However no hail storm happened. Some parts of North Gujarat including Deesa also saw some rain in the wee hours past midnight.

IMD center Director Jayant Sarkar today said that the upper air circulation system induced by western disturbances was causing it.

He also said that due to strong winds and roughness of waves, a fishermen warning has also been issued in the state today.

Meanwhile, due to non-seasonal rain farmers have become apprehensive about its ill-effect on agri produces especially the crop of Cumin (Jeeru) and mango flowering.
