Woman candidate on Navsari LS seat in Gujarat arrested in cheating case

Surat: Police has arrested a woman candidate on Navasari Loksabha seat in Gujarat in a cheating case.
Police today said that Hiramani D Sharma who had filed nomination for the South Gujarat seat as official candidate of Rashtriya Samajwadi Party has been arrested in connection with a cheating case lodged in Punagam police station of the city.
She had not made payment for ‘job-work’ on Sari. A case under sections 406, 409, 420 and 420B was lodged in this connection. She had applied for anticipatory bail but her plea was rejected following which she has been arrested.
