Respite for Gujarat: Heat-wave to vanish from tomorrow, changed wind pattern to bring temperatures down

Ahmedabad: In a respite for Gujarat, parts of which are reeling under severe heat-wave for past several days, temperatures would come down considerably from tomorrow.

Due to change in the wind pattern the heat-wave will vanish from tomorrow and people in this western state would get some relief from scorching heat.

Senior Meteorologist of the IMD center here, Manorama Mohanty said that even though heat-wave prevailed today in parts of the state it won’t be there from tomorrow due to change in the wind direction.

‘The coastal areas will see a drop in temperatures by 3 to 4 degree Celsius while the inland areas of the state would see 2 to 3 degree drop during next 3 days,’ she said.

‘The northerly to northwesterly dry and hot wind will be replaced gradually by humid westerly wind and thus the temperatures would come down,’ she added.
