EC bars Gujarat BJP Chief Vaghani from campaigning for 3 days for violating MCC on April 7

Gandhinagar: The Election Commission of India has barred Gujarat BJP president Jitu Vaghani from campaigning for three days starting today evening for violating Model Conduct Code on April 7. Polling in Gujarat concluded on March 23 while campaign had ended on May 21.
In similar incident, Samajwadi Party (SP) leader Azam Khan has been barred from campaigning for 48 hours starting 6 am today for violation of model code of conduct. Polling in Rampur constituency where he is candidate concluded on April 23.
