Gandhinagar/Ahmedabad: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani today allocated special grant of Rs.60-crore from Swarnim Jayanti CM Urban Development Scheme in the current financial year to Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) for strengthening the storm water drain lines in the North West Zone (NWZ) of the city spread over 153 sq. km.

The plan includes laying a duct pipeline from Thaltej railway crossing to Shantipur crossing to connect it to the Sabarmati River near Juna Vanzar, and the other is to upgrade the rising main pipeline conveying the pump discharge of water from canal-based Gota- Godhavi pumping station and solve water logging in Vejalpur area.
