6 injured, 9 arrested, more than 100 booked after clash over eave-teasing in North Gujarat

Himmatnagar: At least half a dozen people were injured, 9 arrested and over 100 booked after a clash between two sides over alleged eve-teasing in Bhoiwada village of Idar taluka in Sabarkantha district of North Gujarat.
Police today said that a youth for Bhoiwada had teased a girl of another community and resident of Limbadiya vas of nearby Panch hatadiya near Verai mata temple in the village last evening.
A clash between the two community ensued after that. Six people were injured in stone pelting from both sides. Police had to resort to baton charge and lobbing tear gas shells to disperse the mob. Nine people were arrested. 100 people have been booked in this connection.
