School vans in Ahmedabad to remain on strike tomorrow: Vardhi Association

Ahmedabad: The school vans and auto-rickshaws carrying students in Ahmedabad city would remain on strike tomorrow to protest against the alleged high-handedness of the Road Transport Department.
After the incident of the recent falling of three students from a running school van in East Ahmedabad has led to strict compliance checking drive against such vehicles.
President of the School Vardhi Association here Darmendrabhai today said that the RTO was harassing the van owners in the name of various rules.
It has asked us to remove the CNG kits from the vehicles and also several new rules have been imposed.
Notably, such strike in Ahmedabad is going to take place a day after it has ended (today) in Vadodara city.
