Details of Monsoon advancement and rainfall warning for Gujarat

Gandhinagar: Monsoon has advanced further in some more parts of Guajrat and has now covered almost half of this western state.

According to the latest bulletin of the met department its position was as follows-

‘SOUTH WEST MONSOON HAS FURTHER ADVANCED INTO SOME MORE PARTS OF GUJARAT AND THE NORMAL LIMIT OF MONSOON PASSES THROUGH DWARKA, AHMEDABAD, BHOPAL, JABALPUR, PENDRA, SULTANPUR, LAKHMIPUR KHERI, MUKTESHWAR.’

A Cyclonic circulation over South Madhya Pradesh and neighbourhood at 3.1 km above mean sea level persists. Heavy to very heavy rains are very likely at isolated places in the districts of Gujarat region namely Valsad, Navsari, Dang, Surat, Anand , Kheda, Chhota Udepur, Panchmahal, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Daman Dadara Nagar Haveli tomorrow.

The general rain forceast is as following –

DAY 1: (Valid from time of origin to 0830 Hrs. IST of 29/06/2019):-

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at most places in all the districts of South Gujarat region, Daman Dadara Nagar Haveli; at many places in all the districts of North Gujarat region, Saurashtra, Diu; at isolated places in Kutch district.

DAY 2: (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 29/06//2019 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 30/06/2019):-

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at most places in all the districts of South Gujarat region, Daman Dadara Nagar Haveli ; at many places in all the districts of North Gujarat region ; at a few places in the districts of Saurashtra namely Surendranagar, Botad, Bhavnagar. Dry weather very likely in Kutch district and in remaining districts of Saurashtra and in Diu.

DAY 3: (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 30/06//2019 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 01/07/2019):-

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in all the districts of South Gujarat region; at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar . Dry weather very likely in Kutch district and remaining districts of North Gujarat region, Saurashtra and Diu.

DAY-4: (Valid from 0830 Hrs. IST of 01/07/2019 to 0830 Hrs. IST of 02/07/2019):

Light to moderate rain/thundershowers very likely at a few places in all the districts of South Gujarat region; at isolated places in the districts of North Gujarat region namely Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand; in the districts of Saurashtra namely Amreli, Gir Somnath, Bhavnagar .
