Congress leader Bharat Solanki supports Modi government’s Kashmir move

Ahmedabad: Former Union Minister and Senior Congress leader Bharatsinh Solanki has supported the decision of Narendra Modi government’s decision to repeal article 370 that gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kahsmir.

Solanki, also the former president of Gujarat Pradesh Congress Committee, said that he supported the decision of the government because he believed that there there should be uniform system across the country.

He said that the government should however ensure that people did not face any difficulty due to this.

On being asked that his views were contrary to those of his party high command, Solanki said that the high command has not issued any instructions to the party leaders in this regard.
‘This is my personal view,’ he said.
