ACB nabs two officers of Gujarat State Civil Supplies Corporation in Surat for taking bribe from contractor

Surat: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat Police today nabbed two officials of the state civil supplies corporation ltd here today taking bribe of Rs 20 thousand from a contractor.
Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasma said that Deputy district manager of the corporation Ashokkumar S Suchak and Assistant Go-down Manager Rasik M Patel had demanded bribe from the complainant a labour cum transport contractor for clearing his bills. They had already taken Rs 85000/- from him and were pressurizing him to pay 20 thousand more.
The ACB team laid a trap and nabbed Patel red handed taking bribe in a government go-down compound in Navagam near Varachha road. Suchak was also nabbed.
