Another incident of ‘Love Jhad’ in Gujarat that led to suicide of victim girl

Rajkot: Another incident of alleged Love-Jehad has come to fore in Gujarat which had led to the suicide of the victim girl.

Police today said that one Jamil, resident of Shivpara area in the city had trapped Vaishali (21) in his love by hiding his religious identity.

When the girl came to know about his religion she shivered ties with him but he kept on following her. The girl’s family shifted to another locality in University police station area to get rid of him. She was engaged to another youth around 3 months ago but Jamil did not stop and even threatened her fiance and sent some of the photos of Vaishali to him.

The girl committed suicide 2 days ago leaving behind a suicide note. Police has arrested Jamil and investigation was on.

Notably, in another apparent case of alleged love-Jehad, a Muslim driver in Vadodara city has also been arrested for trapping a minor Hindu girl in his love by coaxing, threatening and blackmailing and raping her at least thrice.
