2 inch rain in Amdavad cause water logging in some areas; lightning strike over a building in Bopal

Ahmedabad: Part of city today morning witnessed water logging for some time due to heavy rainfall which according to official record was 51 mm(nearly 2 inch). Couple of blocks of Vishwanath Sarathya residential building in South Bopal were affected to lightning strike. Local complained that lifts, CCTV network, dish-linked TV channels stopped working after strike of lightning. Residents came out of building as fire alarm sounded following lightning strike. Some residents complained power failure and electric shock in their housing units.
