Vrusthi Kothari and Shivam Patel traced by Ahmedabad Police in mountain area of North India

Ahmedabad: Vrushti Kothari (Vrushti Jasubhai), a 24 year old fashion designing student in the city and her friend Shivam Patel, who went missing over 10 days ago, have been located by the crime branch of Ahmedabad police from a mountain area in North India.

Vrushti’s missing case had come to limelight after Mumbai based Bollywood actress Soha Ali Khan had tweeted about it from her account.

A senior crime branch official today confirmed that Vrushti and Shivam have been found and said that more details would be shared during a press conference here tomorrow. He said that both were being brought here.

He said that police found their location on the basis of an email sent by Vrushti to her mother two days back. Both Vrushti and Shivam had switched off their old mobile numbers. They were reportedly trying to settle away from home. Vrushti in the email had said that she was apologetic about the agony caused to her family members. But she was well and had found a job.

Vrushti had reportedly gone to her childhood friend Shivam’s house on September 29 and both later went missing from the next day. The two were last seen at the railway station here alighting from an auto-rickshaw in a CCTV footage. Police had taken the statements of Vrushti’s parents, their servants driver, who dropped her at Satyam’s place and friends were also recorded.

In the tweet on October 2, Soha Ali Khan had requested the police to trace Vrushti quickly. “Guys! Please help out. Vrushti Jasubhai has been missing for 2 days now and her phone has not been reachable since. She lives in Ahmedabad, her parents are worried. Please help spread the word,” she had tweeted.
