IT raids/surveys at various places in Ahmedabad, Large amount of cash, other suspicious details reportedly found

Ahmedabad: Large amount of cash and other expensive items along with documents have been seized during raids/survey by the Income Tax department teams at residences/official premises/farm house of various businessmen related with realty and textile sectors in Ahmedabad today.

According to official sources the raid has been conducted at over 12 places in and around the city.

Cash worth over Rs 5 crore, documents pertaining to over a dozen lockers and other documents pertaining to illegal transactions etc have reportedly been seized during the raids that started from 630 am this morning and was going on even after 12 hrs.

Sources said that more than 3 crore of cash has been recovered from just one place.

Sources said that more than 125 IT employees were involved in the raids/survey.
