Cricket betting racket busted in Ahmedabad, 10 nabbed, 88 phones, 5 laptops seized

Ahmedabad: 10 people were arrested today from a flat in plush South Bopal locality of the city for running a cricket betting racket, police said.
Altogether 88 phones, 5 laptops and 2 LCD TVs were seized from the spot.
Police said that police conducted the raid on a flat on the basis of a tip off. The main operator of the betting racket Dhaval Thakkar was also nabbed from there.
They were booking bets via some of their aides in Deesa town of North Gujarat on Bangladesh Premier League match. They have also admitted to have done betting on the recently held two India-West Indies T 20 matches.
