No protest, rally permitted today in Ahmedabad: City police

Ahmedabad: The city police has made announcement that no rally or protest programme has been permitted today. The city police has also appealed people to inform the police if breach is spotted.
The police has made this announcement in the wake of a social media message of strike call in the city circulating around with the names of several muftis, maulanas and Congress leaders protesting a Citizenship Amendment Bill passed by two houses of parliament.
