One-day session of Gujarat Assembly on January 10

Gandhinagar: Minister of State for parliamentary affairs, Pradipsinh Jadeja today said a one-day session of Gujarat assembly will convene on January 10 as per the provision in article 176 of constitution. The session will begin with address of Governor, followed by a thanks giving motion. Under article 368, at least 50% state assemblies need to approve constitutional amendment 126 passed by parliament, in connection with extension of SC/St reservation for ten more years and representation of Anglo Indian members. A motion will also be moved in the assembly to support the Citizen Amendment Act 2019 passed by parliament.
