ACB nabs Mamlatdar cum Executive Magistrate along with driver in North Gujarat red handed taking bribe of Rs 25 thousand

Palanpur: The Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) of Gujarat police today nabbed a Mamlatdar cum Executive Magistrate rank officer and his driver in Diyodar town of Banaskatha district in North Gujarat red handed taking a bribe of Rs 25000/- from a man.
Assistant Director of the ACB D P Chudasama said that the Mamlatdar and Executive Magistrate of Diyodar, P S Panchal and his contract based driver Poonambhai G Thakor were nabbed from his office during a trap by the ACB.
The Mamlatdar through his driver had sought monthly bribe of Rs 25 thousand from the complainant to allow his vehicles to transport construction materials like concrete and sand etc during road construction work in his area.
