SMC purchases 7 jumping cushions, acoustic listening headphones

Surat: Surat Municipal Corporation (SMC) has purchased jumping cushions which can be used to jump from the building caught by fire. SMC chairman Anil Goplani was among those who tested the cushion by jumping on it from some height. SMC has purchased seven jumping cushions. It takes just 60 seconds to fill air in 94-kg 15×8 ft jumping cushion. Each zone fire station has been given one such cushion. SMC has also purchased life detector seismic and acoustic listening device headphones to listen the voice of those caught in fire.
